VEGA 7 MODEL
A structural map of human experience
Overview
The Vega 7 is a seven-layer structural model of human experience. It explains how Sensation, Pattern, Language, Action, Relationship, Identity, and Awareness interact in real time.
Layers (L1–L7)
L1 — Sensation (Body Input)
- Raw physical input from the body and environment.
- Includes: senses, pain, tension, heartbeat, temperature, posture.
- Function: provides the baseline data the system interprets.
L2 — Pattern (Prediction ↔ Memory)
- The brain’s pattern-recognition and subconscious prediction engine.
- Includes: triggers, habits, “this feels familiar,” Pavlovian responses.
- Function: turns raw sensation into recognizable expectations.
L3 — Translation / Narrator / Imagination (Language ↔ Story)
- The layer that turns experience into words, concepts, and narrative.
- Includes: self-talk, labels, explanations, “what is happening.”
- Function: creates the narrative “code” the system runs on.
L4 — Action (Behavior ↔ Expression)
- The output layer: what you actually do.
- Includes: speech, movement, choices, work, avoidance, micro-expressions.
- Function: turns internal processing into external reality.
L5 — Self & Other (Relational / Affect)
- The social-biological layer of connection and value.
- Includes: attachment, mirroring, belonging, empathy, social safety.
- Function: signals social relevance and calibrates the system based on the “other.”
L6 — Identity / Self-Concept
- The constructed sense of “who I am.”
- Includes: roles, core beliefs about self-worth, continuity of self.
- Function: maintains coherence and stability across time.
L7 — Awareness (Observer / Meta-Layer)
- The observing, reflective, meta-cognitive capacity.
- Includes: noticing thoughts/emotions, perspective-taking, intentionality.
- Function: monitors the whole system and allows for intervention.
Core Rules of Vega 7
- Rule 1 — It’s a map, not a type: Vega 7 tracks which layer is active, not who you “are.”
- Rule 2 — No layer is good or bad: imbalance creates problems, not the layers themselves.
- Rule 3 — Always ask: “Which layer is this?”
- Rule 4 — Change flows top-down and bottom-up: L1/L4 change hardware; L7/L3 change software.
- Rule 5 — Awareness doesn’t erase other layers: it gives choice, not deletion.
- Rule 6 — Identity is constructed: “I am…” is usually L3 + L2 + L5 hardened into L6.
- Rule 7 — Action completes the loop: insight without action creates pressure.
- Rule 8 — The relational mirror: L5 can import another person’s state.
- Rule 9 — No destiny, no calling: the model describes mechanics, not fate.
- Rule 10 — Always return to reality: drop to L1 when confused.
Summary
Vega 7 helps you see what is happening, how layers interact, and where to intervene. It is a tool for clarity and communication — not a religion or a label.
